Non competitiva presente all’interno della “Maratonina dei Fenici” – 2° Assoluto, nonostante l’influenza!!

Ero indeciso fino all’ultimo se partecipare o meno a questa gara ma, per fortuna, ha prevalso l’impulso sulla ragione e sono andato a gareggiare. Facciamo un passo indietro: mercoledì mattina mi sono svegliato,a casa di mia madre (purtroppo dal lunedì al mercoledì pomeriggio mi tocca stare da mia madre, causa rientro pomeridiano in ufficio) con un pò di mal di gola, poi andando in ufficio, per colpa del freddo gelido che c’è stato la settimana scorsa di prima mattina con minime attorno agli 0°, ed un giubbotto non adeguato alla temperatura, il mal di gola mi è aumentato. Nonostante questo  di pomeriggio sono tornato a casa mia a Sinnai ed ho fatto un CORTO-VELOCE non andato bene, ma neanche particolarmente male. Il giovedì, sempre con il mal di gola, mi sono allenato di nuovo facendo un MEDIO. Venerdì e sabato non mi sono allenato, ed il mal di gola ha iniziato a trasformarsi in tosse, che per me è meno peggio del mal di gola. Come medicine ho preso il fluental e lo spray per il mal di gola mercoledì, giovedì ho preso Vivin C e spray per la gola, venerdì il ketodoll per il tendine d’achille, sabato Vivin C e domenica mattina sempre Vivin C.

Sabato notte,nonostante non avessi febbre, ho preso il Vivin C dopo cena e mi sono aumentate le frequenze cardiache, penso abbia interagito con il ketodoll preso il giorno prima, tant’è che non riuscivo a prendere sono avrò dormito 3-4 ore non di più!

Domenica mattina sono già sveglio quando suona la sveglia, mi misuro la febbre il termometro segna 36,7° e perciò dedico di andare! Faccio colazione a base di 100 grammi di pane con miele. Prendo anche il Vivin C in quanto ho tosse e raffreddore, più tosse che raffreddore. Mi sento stanco e fiacco, ma comunque decido di andare lo stesso, anche perchè, se non andassi starei malissimo psicologicamente per almeno 1 mese!

Il viaggio in macchina mi stordisce, nonostante non ci siano curve, il contachilometri della macchina segna 52 km., pensavo fossero 60. Vado subito ad iscrivermi e mi rendo conto che i parcheggi sono alquanto lontani dalla zona di iscrizione. Faccio la fila per circa 40 minuti prima di iscrivermi (che bella organizzazione!), appena iscritto vado di corsa alla macchina (mi servirà come riscaldamento), mi metto il numero, mi spoglio, faccio una pisciatina approfittando delle campagne circostanti e vado di corsa alla partenza, sperando che non siano già partiti in quanto sono già passate le 10, orario di partenza, da circa 10 minuti. Per fortuna si parte in ritardo di circa 15-20 minuti ed io riesco a partire (mi sarei incazzato troppo se non fossi riuscito a partire dopo che stavo anche male). Giornata calda, ma si sa che la zona di Pula gode di un microclima splendido, specialmente con il maestrale, infatti ci sono molti settentrionali e molti stranieri che rimangono a Pula, paese turistico, a svernare.

Mi posiziono non benissimo in partenza, ma neanche malissimo come ad Uta, purtroppo ci sono i soliti lumaconi che si mettono davanti, ma, per fortuna non c’è moltissima folla, la strada è larga e ogni tanto si riesce a sorpassare. Nonostante la partenza non felicissima, passo ai 2 km. in 7’46”! Purtroppo mi sfugge il rilevameto al primo chilometro, ma, causa traffico, non penso di essere andato molto veloce. Continuo con una velocità attorno ai 4’00” al km., ma non sono regolare e costante. Siccome c’è molto vento contrario negli ultimi chilometri, adotto la tattica ciclistica di stare in scia e poi quando prendo fiato scatto e vado a caccia del gruppetto davanti, mi metto di nuovo in scia, prendo fiato e poi vado di nuovo all’attacco. Passo ai 6 km. in 23’48”, tra me e me penso che ormai la media dei 4’00” al km. è fatta. Purtroppo l’arrivo dei “non competitivi” è segnalato a dir poco malissimo! Io quando vedo il rettilineo d’arrivo scatto, sicuramente la “non competitiva” è meno lunga dei 7 km. segnalati, tra le altre cose nel finale c’è una deviazione che vedo a mala pena, una specie di imbuto, entro nell’imbuto e passo sotto lo striscione del traguardo. Siccome c’è uno che mi dice che devo tornare indietro, perchè pensava che fossi un atleta della mezza maratona, penso che il traguado sia nell’altro striscione d’arrivo, quello degli atleti della mezza maratona, dico “ECCHECCAZZO!!” torno indietro faccio almeno 200 metri in più e una volta raggiunto l’altro striscione d’arrivo, quello che segnalava la fine del primo giro mi fermo. Il tempo di 28’36” non è quello della gara in quanto saprò successivamente che il traguardo giusto era quello dove ero transitato la prima volta, però non ho schiacciato il cronometro perchè pensavo di aver sbagliato il traguardo ed in ogni caso la lunghezza della “non competitiva” non era segnalata in modo decente, sicuramente non erano 7 km. in quanto il cartello dei 7 km. era posto a circa 150-200 metri di distanza dal traguardo della “non competitiva”. Mi chiedo: “costa molto misurare con esattezza il percorso di una non competitiva?”

Comunque, dopo l’incazzo iniziale, vengo a sapere che MI SONO PIAZZATO 2° e l’incazzo mi passa! Sicuramente avrei vinto se non avessi avuto l’influenza.

Le premiazioni si fanno attendere, ma l’attesa viene premiata con un GRAN BEL PREMIO, consistente in una borsa frigo con dentro un set da cucina con piatti, bicchieri, tovaglioli, posate e saliere! OTTIMO PREMIO!! Forse il premio più sostanzioso che abbia ricevuto durante la mia lunghissima carriera sportiva, senz’altro il migliore degli ultimi 4-5 anni!

Torno a casa soddisfatto e penso: “MENO MALE CHE SONO ANDATO A GAREGGIARE”
